These changes are the most critical:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><strong><em>Agile Addition<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"background: white;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: #403d3e;\">As some of us already heard there will be some new content to emphasisze the importance and relevance of agile and other iterative practices. With Agile being such a hot topic and a methodology being widely practiced, PMI has not only incorporated Agile and similar iterative practices in the various knowledge areas, but they also created a new \u201cAgile in Project Management\u201d section.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"background: white;\">PMI aims to remain compliant with traditional trends, while at the same time, improve the standards with some flexibility for innovation.\u00a0Having an agile approach on international project management processes, maps and tools\/techniques in new edition of PMBOK will require today\u2019s PMPs to be more knowledgeable in this methodology and its applications. .<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Three New Processes Added<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0 \u2018<em>Manage Project Knowledge<\/em>\u2019: included in the executing process group and Project Integration Management knowledge area.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u2018<em>Implement Risk Responses<\/em>\u2019: included in the executing process group and Project Risk Management knowledge area.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u2018<em>Control Resources<\/em>\u2019: included in the monitoring\/controlling process group and Project Resource Management knowledge area.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><strong><em>Two Existing Processes Removed<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0 \u2018<em>Estimate Activity Resources<\/em>\u2019: will be covered as part of the scheduling component.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u2018<em>Close Procurement<\/em>\u2019: will be combined with control procurement and close project.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><strong><em>Two Knowledge areas will be renamed:<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><em>\u00a0 Project Human Resource Management<\/em>\u00a0to &#8220;Project Resource Management&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><em>\u00a0 Project Time Management<\/em>\u00a0to &#8220;Project Schedule Management&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><strong><em>Some Processes areas will be renamed: <\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><em>Perform Quality Assurance\u00a0<\/em>to &#8220;Manage Quality&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><em>Plan Human Resource Management<\/em>\u00a0to &#8220;Plan Resource Management&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><em>Acquire Project Team<\/em>\u00a0to &#8220;Acquire Resources&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><em>Control Communications<\/em>\u00a0to &#8220;Monitor Communications&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><em>Control Risks\u00a0<\/em>to \u201cMonitor Risks\u201c<\/li>\n<li><em>Plan Stakeholder Management<\/em>\u00a0to &#8220;Plan Stakeholder Engagement&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><em>Control Stakeholder Engagement<\/em>\u00a0to &#8220;Monitor Stakeholder Engagement&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><strong>Changes to the project management plan components<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif,sans-serif;\">Note the following changes to the project management plan components and project documents:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif,sans-serif;\">The components of the project management plan that are inputs to a process, or that are updated as outputs from a process, are not listed individually in the inputs or outputs. Rather, the project management plan is the input and project management plan updates is the output.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif,sans-serif;\">Beneath the input\/output table, a list of potential project management plan components is identified. However, the components of the project management plan that will be inputs or updated depends on the needs of the project.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif,sans-serif;\">Project documents are listed as an input and project documents updates is listed as an output, as appropriate. Beneath the input\/output table there is a list of potential project documents that may be inputs, or may be updated as an output. The needs of the project will determine the actual project documents that should be inputs or updated as an output.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>PMP Exam Update<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The PMP exam is changing in the first quarter of 2018. The exact date of the examination change will be announced soon.<\/li>\n<li>Anyone taking the exam prior to Q1 2018 will receive the current version of the exam that references the\u00a0<em>PMBOK Guide<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/em>\u00a0\u2013 Fifth Edition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>When will PMVISION update their material to reflect the new PMP Exam content?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong><em>As always, PMVISION is proactive with making changes to our materials to align with the upcoming changes. <\/em><\/strong>We have\u00a0 already began updating our course material based on the exposure draft of PMI.
