New PMP® Exam + Training Materials
The new Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification Exam is coming in July 2026 — designed to elevate how project professionals lead, think, and deliver value.
Built with input from global practitioners to reflect the way projects succeed today, the new PMP blends real-world leadership, strategic decision-making, and value delivery, while maintaining full accreditation under ANSI/ISO 17024 and ISO 9001.

ATP PMP Training Materials
- A new instructor-led training course, delivered by ATPs, will launch in April 2026.
- All qualified ATP PMP instructors with an instructor kit will receive access to the new instructor materials (English) in their existing kits this month, to prepare.
- ATPs may not teach the new PMP exam until the public learning launch, as directed by PMI, in April, when new ATP student materials will become available. See the full timeline below.
- Translated instructor + student kits will be available in Q2 2026 (10 core languages).

PMBOK® Guide – Eighth Edition Is Here
The latest edition of the PMBOK® Guide is officially live.
Backed by PMI’s global expertise and shaped by input from thousands of practitioners worldwide, the PMBOK® Guide – Eighth Edition is the most community-driven edition ever produced—reflecting how project management is practiced today and helping project professionals deliver greater value in a rapidly evolving world.
- No impact on PMI-provided ATP course material (these are based on certification Exam Content Outlines (ECOs), not the PMBOK® Guide).

- PMBOK® 8: Now live
- New PMP ECO: Now live
- PMP ATP instructor materials: Now available to prepare (do not launch courses). English only. Additional languages available in Q2 2026 (Arabic, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese).
- PMP ATP student materials/course launch: April 2026
- PMBOK® 7 sunset: July 2026
- PMP exam change: July 2026

- Questions: ~180 (some sources mention 185).

The exam continues to assess three domains, with updated weightings:
