Our Earned Value Professional PSP classes are intentionally kept small in order to foster more interaction between the instructor and students. What is PSP?

The PSP® certification is designed for managers and consultants who want an internationally recognized advanced–level credential in planning & scheduling field. PSP® (Planning and Scheduling Professional) is a certification granted by the Association for Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE)® to individuals who possess fundamental knowledge and expertise in planning and scheduling.  Association for Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE)

This PSP Training course helps students to understand the scope of the PSP Certification Examination and prepare for it. A PSP is a skilled planning and scheduling professional with advanced experience in project planning, and developing, monitoring, updating, forecasting and analyzing integrated project schedules.  A PSP is able to communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, both internal and external.

 

Course Objectives:

The focus of this workshop is to prepare attendees for the PSP certificate exam through reviewing subjects and sample questions that will be tested in the exam. Also, individuals who want to obtain a general knowledge about project planning and scheduling Management can significantly benefit from the training. . PS Exam: Eligibility Requirements

  • 8 years industry related experience or
    4 years industry related experience + 4-year industry related college degree
  • Adherence to AACE’s Canons of Ethics

 

Examination Structure

  • 5 hours maximum
  • 119 simple, multiple choice and compound, scenario questions
    • 3 Domains: Basic Planning & Scheduling Knowledge (56 questions)Practical Exercise (29 questions), and Planning & Scheduling Applications (34 questions)
  • 1 Domain: Communication. Comprises of 1 memo writing assignment with a given scenario and instructions for writing a response in an onscreen text box
  • Closed Book
  • Any style, battery operated calculator permitted (not provided by the testing center)

Note:

PSP exam result is not given immediately, as the written portions of the exam (technical paper/memo/essay) must be graded and averaged with your multiple choice exam result.

 

PSP Examination Investment

While AACE membership is not required for certification, members receive the benefit of reduced examination fees.

  • US$500 for members
  • US$625 for non-members
  • US$250 resit fee (member and non-members)

 

Earning the Certification

An overall average score of 70% or higher is needed to pass the exam

The final exam result is arrived by averaging the score of all four domains

Example:
Domain 1: 69% (fail domain) +
Domain 2: 70% (pass domain) +
Domain 3: 65% (fail domain) +
Domain 4: 76% (pass domain)
Sum of domains divided by 4 = average score of 70% (pass the exam)

Please note that it is the policy of the Certification Board, in accordance with AACE International Certification Institute accreditation authority, to release results on a Pass or Fail basis only; therefore, no individual scores will be given.

 

Recertification & Maintenance

PSP certification is valid for 3 years and must be recertified through the accumulation of 12 CEUs in at least two categories or reexamination. Click here to learn more about recertification.

  • In case PMVISION  cancels an event, 100% refund will be paid to the delegate.
  • If the cancellation is done by the delegate within 48 hours of subscribing, 10%  will be deducted as administration fee.
  • If a cancellation is done by a delegate 7 days or more, prior to the event, 20% will be deducted as administration fee.
  • If a cancellation is done by a delegate 7 days or less, prior to the event, no refunds will be made
  • Bookings made at discounted prices ( Including Early Bird Booking) cannot be cancelled.
  • If you will have to travel to attend the course, please don’t make any travel arrangements until we confirm the class. We usually usually confirm the class by emails at least one week prior to the start date.
